Parexo, Research Institutes of Sweden (RISE) and UPM Biocomposites will present the new revolutionary mould technology and sustainable value chain of Future Boatbuilding on 8 June on zoom:

The live event begins at 13 CEST (14 EEST) and is open for all interested. The event will be hosted by Sampo Karpo from Parexo and features Emil Johansson and Lenny Tönnäng from Research Institutes of Sweden (RISE), Ralf Ponicki and Eve Saarikoski from UPM Biocomposites, Mikael Valtonen and Kim-Niklas Antin from Parexo.

The presenters will discuss the challenges of old school moulds, explain the technical aspects of the biocomposite material and large scale 3D printing in detail, as well as unveil the proof points for mould cost savings by 50% and carbon emission reduction by 50 % in relation to future vision of sustainable boatbuilding. The pilot mould will be published and it is designed and built in collaboration with Parexo, RISE and UPM. They will also answer questions sent via channel’s chat.
